Happy Birthday to Deborah Kerr! Born in Scotland on this day in 1921, the shy child was educated in England and began acting as a teenager. At the tender age of 20, she was cast in Major Barbara and Love on the Dole and continued working steadily until the 1980s. She is best known for such films as The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp, Black Narcissus, From Here to Eternity, The King and I, Tea and Sympathy, and perhaps the most enduring melodramatic love story ever, An Affair to Remember.
