Happy Birthday to Dorothy Parker! Born on this day in 1893, Parker is remembered for her sardonic wit, which shines through her many short stories, poems, and cutting one-liners. She was a founding member of the famed Algonquin Round Table with such contemporaries as Robert Benchley, Harold Ross, Edna Ferber, Tallulah Bankhead, and Harpo Marx.
