We have good news and bad news. The good news is that winter is pretty much here. That means no more leaves on the trees to distract you from the branches underneath them. There may or may not be snow on the roads, slowing down traffic wherever you drive. And the days continue to get much, much shorter. The bad news is that many museums close for the season. The good news is that the American Treasure Tour does NOT close down for the winter, so you can visit us for General Admission on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00am to 3:00pm or book a fully-guided tour for whenever you like.
Other good news is that there are other museums that also stay open during the cold season. Have you ever been to Winterthur Museum in Wilmington, Delaware? We highly recommend it! Granted, it's nothing like the Treasure Tour, but that's okay. Don't judge them too harshly just because you will likely see no sideshow art or carousel band organs there. You WILL see historical architecture, classic antique furniture, and original paintings by the likes of Benjamin West, though, which unquestionably makes it worth your time. But it shouldn't be too surprising that they're open year round - especially since "winter" is part of their name.http://winterthur.org
