The beautiful Wurlitzer LX with Wonderlight serves to let us know that the disco ball was not an invention of the 1970s.  Wurlitzer incorporated it in a number of different machines they produced to create a memorable light show during the early twentieth century, when many homes still had not yet been electrified. Imagine what it would have been like to see this lightshow at a time when people used gas lighting at home!  It is still impressive today, it must have been breathtaking then!
