The Wurlitzer Style 12 – Mandolin PianOrchestra with Peacock is one of the most impressive machines in the collection for both its sheer size and its beauty, an “orchestras in a box.” There were only 99 ever produced. 8.6’ high, 5.6’ wide, 3’ thick. Weighs 1500lbs.
Built using a quarter sawn oak cabinet with Silver Fox finish, this machine was in production between 1913 and 1917. During that time, it cost around $5,000 to purchase new, which was about the price of an average home at the time.
